Ellen Cowan & Cody Brock-Cowan Buick GMC-Donates $5,000 Towards Preservation & Rehabilitation of Camp 30 Cafeteria Building

Thank You to Cowan Buick GMC for Supporting the Preservation of the Camp 30 Cafeteria Building

The Jury Lands Foundation is deeply grateful to Ellen Cowan and Cody Brock of Cowan Buick GMC for their generous $5,000 donation in support of the preservation and rehabilitation of the Camp 30 Cafeteria Building.

This contribution is a meaningful step forward in our work to protect the Cafeteria Building—one of the most historically significant remaining structures at the Camp 30 site in Bowmanville. Preserving this building is essential to ensuring that the story of Camp 30 and its role in Canada’s Second World War history can continue to be shared with future generations.

Support from community partners like Cowan Buick GMC plays a vital role in helping advance the planning, fundraising, and technical work required to preserve the Cafeteria Building in accordance with heritage and safety requirements.

On behalf of the Jury Lands Foundation Board and our volunteers, we extend our sincere thanks to Ellen Cowan, Cody Brock, and the entire Cowan Buick GMC team for their leadership and generosity in helping safeguard an important part of our community’s heritage.
