Location: Toronto, ON
Year: 2024

Golden Butter Murals is a Toronto-based mural collaborative founded by longtime friends and artists Kate Jones and Sarah Tyl. Both born and raised in the GTA, Kate and Sarah moved to Toronto to study architectural science and crossed paths while working in design studios, where they spent years creating custom homes across the city. While they valued the precision and process of architecture, they wanted a more hands-on, expressive way to bring spaces to life. In 2024, they joined forces to create Golden Butter Murals, combining their shared passion for large-scale art. Their work spans construction hoarding, picnic tables, walls, and garages, with clients ranging from public art organizations to private developers. Their work is bold, vibrant, and reflective of the people and places it represents.
